Nabukenya Sophie has close to 3 years’ experience in Feminist research and advocacy. She has been championing for SRHR issues ever since she was 17 years under Organizations like MEMPROW, and CEDOVIP. Sophia been part of Plan International’s Programmes for two years where she has been advocating for young women´s reproductive health rights both at local and international levels. As a Lead Advocate and Campaign Ambassador but also the Face of Plan Internationals “Let’s Change The story” Champaign, Sophie took lead in petitioning the government to increase the budget for provision of SRHR services for young people. 39000 people around the world stood with her to sign this petition, which she later presented to honorable members of parliament together with other young people. Sophie is part of the Kampala Youth Advocacy Network, Youth Advisory Panel and Champions of Change programmes, Under Plan international Uganda. Because of her advocacy role, she was selected to represent young people´s voices at a family planning summit in London, this conference brought together the Donor community, policy makers, representatives from government, civil society and representatives’ people from across the globe.
